The World Is My Canvas.com!

To promote the Nokia N82, the integrated GPS of the device, and an alternative and creative way of using your mobile phone, we introduced Stavros to the world. In turn, he gave the world: Position Art.

Position Art is an art form that is all about tracking your positions through your GPS. Plan your motif, find a good spot, switch on your mobile's tracking application, and "walk" your art. The concept was further brought to life through the character of Stavros, who became the face of the campaign.

Stavros and Position Art is the channel through which we can present the tools that anybody can create Position Art with.

Fan Response

With Stavros and Position Art we hit the target groups spot-on and made them talk about GPS-usage and mobile creativity. Apart from the thousands of submitted works on the site, hundreds of blog-posts, and masses of emails, friends on myspace etc, we even had fans create their own Position Art! Check it out.

Ongoing advertising

Apart from the online campaign, including the main site and the great event coverage, we also arranged a press conference to answer questions that Stavros received from fans. Another GPS-art project demanded the response from Stavros. Other activities included posters of his works of art, business cards, and a press release that was sent to various influential people within the art, GPS, and mobile phone forums.
