Farfar is not an interactive advertising agency. In fact, we are a bunch of bandits. We steal people’s time. Time is possibly the most precious commodity of the western world. More and more claim to have less and less of it. So in our own fast-forwarding age we devised a rather clever business concept: We provide the audience with entertainment in exchange for their sacrifice of time in the relevant presence of a brand. Mind you, it’s not “branding”, it’s “liking”.
Okay, so that’s our principle. Anyone may copy it if they have the required drive to do so. We do. At the moment we’re entwined in an energising spiral where great work leads to great results that in return lead to great talent who approach Farfar.
As you may have noticed there’s one thing we lack: Humbleness. That’s right, we’re worthless when it comes to compromise. We prefer to develop an entirely new idea than reduce the one we have to a submissive consensus. Misunderstand us correctly, we’re open for critique. Pertinent opinions will only add to the strength of the concept. As long as the courage and trust is there.
Energy and theft – Farfar in a super-sized nutshell. So what has all of this resulted in? Sure, we own a cramped awards-cabinet with a bulging centre shelf due to our two Cannes Grand Prix Lions. But these are more a reflection of our never-give-up attitude than our will to sunbathe in the spotlight of vanity. Real success in our eyes is when people are wasting time while enjoying our creations, and taking it with them in conversations, online or on the bus. Like Pjotro, the man with the musical jumpsuit who is still generating buzz for Nokia, a long time after the site first appeared. Or the Heidies, the girls who hijacked Diesel.com and quintupled Diesel’s online traffic. Or the native Stockholmers, who all came out from every corner of the city to sing and persuade all Britons to come and visit their capital. Or Alkoholprofilen – a profile of alcohol habits, that had over a million youths review their booze consumption.
Alright, how much time have we just stolen from you? If you’d like to waste some more you will want to check out the “Work” section on this site.
